The company strives to meet the individual needs of each and every one of the clients who are in our care. This means that the company will do all it can to make the individual service users happy with his or her day care package.

  • Liaising with Local Colleges
At Coppice Care we strongly believe that every person deserves the right to education. Not only does this allow an individual to grow but offers the chance for learning new life skills, making new friends and being part of another community. Our Daycare service includes liaising with local colleges to identify suitable courses for our residents as well as then arranging transport and the necessary care throughout the course.
  • Liaising with the D.E.A (Disability employment adviser)
At Coppice Care we will help residents who wish to seek employment. We will liaise with the Disability Employment Adviser (DEA) at our local Jobcentre who can help you find a job or gain new skills and also tell you about disability friendly employers in the area. The DEA can also refer you to a specialist work psychologist, if appropriate, or carry out an ‘employment assessment’, asking you about:

    • your skills and experience
    • what kind of roles you’re interested in
  • Liaising with Independent Day Centres
There are around 20 day services for adults with learning disabilities in West Sussex. These are run by charities, voluntary organisations and private companies. All are guided by the Aims of Valuing People Now 2008. This means working in a ‘person-centred’ way to help people to get better lives and have meaningful things to do.People are supported to become more independent, contribute to and occupy their time meaningfully.
