Launched in 2013 Coppice Care residential care service offers an exciting opportunity for service users and commissioners.
Our development of four purpose-built fully wheelchair-accessible bungalows, each with four individual en suite bedrooms, provides an ideal setting for people with learning and/or physical disabilities as well as people with an acquired brain injury or challenging behaviour, to progress along the pathway to independence and a greater quality of living.
This service may be particularly suitable to care for and support young adults taking their first steps towards a more independent lifestyle as they leave home for the first time.
Or for students leaving a school or college, our bungalows provide an opportunity for small groups of people who know and feel comfortable with each other to stay together. Unlike larger residential settings, the smaller scale of our bungalows may be more appropriate for some service users as they take their first steps from living at home towards independence.
At Coppice Care, our person-centred care and support is focused on encouraging service users to take control over their own lives, through the decisions and choices they make, and on our respect for their right to move forward in the way that is meaningful for them.
This empowering approach includes ensuring that service users are fully involved in our residential care community and decision-making about all aspects of the service.
We welcome enquiries regarding referrals for placements to our Burgess Hill development.
